Janine Myburgh

I am a registered counselling psychologist practising in the Northcliff area.

My practical experience includes lecturing, providing counselling services and group workshops to the student population, consulting for HR and RAF assessment services and assisting in writing articles for multiple publications.

 

My practical training at PsyCaD at the University of Johannesburg has prepared me well to assist individuals with a variety of personal problems. In this setting I also gained experience in a number of psychological assessments, including but not limited to career and subject choice assessments.

 

Volunteering at Headway Brain Injury Association and camps for children with conduct and emotional problems also expanded my skills for working with individuals to promote personal growth.

 

I also developed a lot of patience and competence in training and empowering others through a background in teaching and tutoring.

 

In addition, I volunteer at the Family Life Centre as a divorce mediator, where I also completed the accredited divorce mediation training course. 

 

I have a passion for helping others to reach their potential and I love helping others to discover their purpose in life. I believe that the renewing of one's mind is the first step towards positive change and growth.
